This Region has the following vacancies.

Regional Training Officer

I have been the Regional Training Officer for the West Midlands Region for at least 8 out of the last 10 years. During this time In Service Training has developed considerably with a wealth of experienced tutors in all aspects of Yoga sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm unreservedly for the benefit of Diploma Holders and their students.
As you may have read and will be reading more in this and the next issue of Spectrum. IST is changing. This seems to me to be a good time to hand over the post to a new officer who can be right at the beginning of the changes and bring their perspective to the post.
I have summarised the main part of the job below but I would be glad to discuss this in more detail with anyone interested in the post.
The RTO is a member of the Regional Committee and should be a DCT, but if this is not possible then a Diploma Holder may be elected provided they have held the Diploma for one year.
The Regional Training Officer will be responsible for the co-ordination of IST events within the Region.
The RTO will liaise closely with the Regional Officer, County Reps and Diploma Course Tutors to ensure that sufficient IST events are held throughout the whole of their Region to enable all Diploma Holders easy access to one event per annum.
The RTO is responsible for liaising with the National In Service Training Officer to keep him/her informed of events proposed.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my tenure as RTO it has enabled me to attend many inspiring events and meet some remarkable people. I have enjoyed seeing the development of training throughout the BWY but I am especially grateful to all the County Reps I have worked with over the last 10 years.
