Tony Wilmot’s Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Classes with Tony B.W.Y Dip

Ashtanga Yoga is a system of Yoga taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute in Mysore, India. This method of Yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures - a process producing intense internal heat and profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.

Tony has over 20 years experience of yoga practice.  Tony is British Wheel of Yoga trained and completed teacher training with David Swenson and attended Nancy Gilgolfs Adjustment clinic in Prague. Tony has completed two months practiced under the direction of PK Jois in Mysore, 2005.

Ashtanga classes taught in Birmingham & Stafford. Class content is Primary Series, which is ‘taught’, ‘spoken/talked thru’ with ‘technique’. Ashtanga day workshops are conducted by Tony throughout the West Midlands.

Also monthly workshops or organized under ‘The Tapasysa Workshops’ where various advanced Ashtanga teachers hosted in the Midlands. Normally these are held in Newmans House, Edgbaston or The Buddhist Centre, Moseley

Classes are usually held on a drop-in basis. 10 week block bookings is encouraged. Courses are sometimes organised over 12 weeks.

Cost each class is £6.50 or 10week booking for £60.00.

If you have never tried Ashtanga Yoga come along and give it a try. All you need is a ‘yoga’ mat and yourself. Beginners welcome to all sessions. You are more than welcome.
