The BWY Initiative on Dementia: A Call to Action
It is inevitable that Dementia will touch us all at some time in our lives. There are currently over 800,000 people in the UK living with dementia and around 700,000 family members and friends who deal with the challenges of being a primary carer. At this year’s BWY Congress the keynote speaker Pandit Rajmani Tiguanit (the Spiritual Head of the Himalayan International Institute) expressed that the yoga world needs to go beyond the asana-dominated field of yoga and address some of our more current needs. You can read about the British Wheel of Yoga’s response here and how you can get involved.
